We employed the ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi, a wood preservation method that involves torching the surface. This process not only protects the wood but also imparts a stunning, obsidian-like finish.

Each brush exhibits a unique grain variation and burn pattern, resulting in slight differences in appearance. Some brushes may have a lighter color with visible stripes on the handle, while others may be closer to a solid black. All variations are equally beautiful.
